Are you called to become a Death Doula?

Receive the most comprehensive training in this field — so you can effectively support clients and their families through the death and dying process.

Serving others as a Death Doula or End-of-Life Practitioner (ELP), means supporting the most precious transition there is. It’s witnessing an essential piece of life’s great mystery.

Right now, the role of Death Doulas and ELPs has never been more critical…

With changes in the health care landscape and beyond, the need for holistic, heart-centered care, end-of-life planning, and mental, emotional, physical and spiritual support, is giving way to one of the most rapidly evolving and transforming fields — death care.

A Death Doula, also known as an End-of-Life Practitioner (ELP), is a trained professional who offers non-medical support to the dying and their families. They complement services that a dying person and their family may be receiving, including hospice or palliative care — and provide a range of holistic services, including physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical support.

It’s why we need people like YOU — compassionate caregivers to answer this call.

The Most Comprehensive
Training in This Field

The Heartway’s Training & Certification is the most foundational and immersive End-of-Life Practitioner Death Doula Program.

Our in-depth training program encompasses every facet of the ELP’s role, exploring this work through a multidisciplinary lens — from historical to mythological to therapeutic — so you’ll understand every facet of this deeply meaningful work, including how to advocate for your clients while navigating end-of-life medical communities.

Sadly, many Death Doula/ELP education programs are little more than weekend workshops that fall very short of properly training and preparing practitioners for this beautifully complex work.

Because we know that the work of an ELP is much more than just an occupation, the very best, multifaceted training is absolutely essential.
