Michael Goodman

Mr. Michael J. Goodman’s career in real estate has spanned 30 years. The last 16 years in real estate has included development, consulting and real estate brokerage. Earlier in his career he served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for a multi-billion dollar real estate development firm.  

The scope of projects he has been involved in include master planned communities, affordable housing for families and seniors, assisted living and Alzheimer’s facilities.  

As a member of the Housing Committee for the Senior Citizens Advisory Council (SCAC) of Orange County, he chaired the sub-committee responsible for developing specific goals & objectives later incorporated in the first business plan developed by the Office on Aging. Mr. Goodman has spoken on housing alternatives for senior citizens as well as the need for developing service-enriched affordable housing for families and the elderly.  

Mr. Goodman served as the President of the Board of Directors for ONEgeneration, a non-profit senior service provider serving over 30,000 seniors in the San Fernando Valley. During his term as President the organization completed the acquisition and rehabilitation of the Mark Taper Intergenerational Day Care Center. This ground breaking project links victims of Alzheimer's and dementia with children in structured daily programming. This program is now designated by Congress as a National Model of excellence.  Mr. Goodman also served on the Board of Directors of Care Options, in Orange County as well as Alternative Living for the Aging, based in Los Angeles. 

Mr. Goodman’s work in community service has been acknowledged by former President’s George H.W. Bush & Bill Clinton.
