Managing one’s own or a loved one’s care can be very scary, challenging, and at times devastating. The HeartWay helps clients navigate the vast and complicated medical systems, manage medical symptoms, and assists in dealing with related obstacles more effectively.
We are dedicated to improving the quality of life in any way we can, by empowering clients to make informed decisions, enhancing the coordination of care, eliminating the duplication of services, and reducing the need for expensive medical services. The HeartWay’s first priority is care from the heart with love and compassion.
When a loving and comprehensive care plan is in place it serves as a means for achieving wellness and autonomy through advocacy, communication, education, identification of service resources and compassionate care. We can help identify appropriate providers, caregivers, and facilities throughout the continuum of services, while ensuring that available resources are being used in a timely, effective and consciousness manner in order to obtain optimum support for both the client and their loved ones.
The HeartWay services allow for open communication between the client, support team, and appropriate service resources in order to optimize the most loving, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
Collectively, we can foster innovative approaches to disease management through the integration of medical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of dis-ease.
Preventing and Managing chronic disease for individuals, families, caregivers, and communities in today’s health care system continues to create new challenges. The plethora of medical and disease management concerns are nothing less than overwhelming. At The HeartWay, we believe that many of today’s chronic diseases are reversible through a careful plan of care that includes diet, exercise, stress reduction, supplementation and a commitment to enhancing quality of life.
The HeartWay counselors utilize a depth psychological approach to healing which explores the hidden or deeper parts of the human experience where the authentic self resides and profound healing can take place. A depth psychological approach to healing allows for the evolution of the human spirit during difficult transitions.
We provide educational tools that are designed to support the mind and body to reach its fullest potential.
The quest to comprehend and accept death is among the most universal, frightening, and captivating mysteries of our humanness. The time before, during and after death can be a tremendously sad time for everyone and the emotions are often unpredictable and overwhelming. However, the end-of-life can also blossom into a time of growing closer, sharing stories, forgiveness, healing, and profound peace. Some families are able to use their remaining time together to grow closer.
The HeartWay offers the services of a death doula. The unique role of a death doula is to provide care that enables the individual to live as fully as possible, even when the medical prognosis is terminal. This approach is complementary to the original mission of Hospice, offering more holistic care for the dying with additional choices for pain management, drawn from herbal, homeopathic, and eastern medicinal practices. The death doula’s role, paired with traditional Hospice Care, creates the space for a more natural death, enabling the individual, the caregivers, and the families to benefit from a more compassionate, spiritual, and pragmatic approach to navigating dying and the grieving processes.
We work intimately with all end-of-life support, such as Hospice, hospitals, and mortuaries, to provide a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to care at the end-of-life.
Thus, providing a loving environment so you and your families can spend the highest of quality of time together.
We are dedicated to anyone confronting a life-threatening illness or caring for someone with a life-threatening dis-ease. Our central mission is to impart conscious and compassionate emotional and spiritual support.
Using wisdom gathered from decades of guiding the dying, from intensive psychological, pragmatic and spiritual practices focused on death and dying, we offer face to face, telephone, and Internet based support services. Thus, allowing both the living and dying the opportunity to face, embrace, and be present in life and death.
The stages and feelings that are experienced by an individual, a family, caregiver, or a community when encountering the process of death and dying is in each case, a unique experience. No two people grieve alike. The process of grief is cyclical, chaotic, and manifests in many different ways.
Extended illness, injury, disability, terminal diagnosis and/or the aging and decline of an elderly family member can also evoke potent feelings of grief. The resulting grief can affect us physically, emotionally, cognitively, socially, and spiritually.
Our compassionate counselors and support staff can hold a space for healing and create a safe place for feelings to be expressed and explored before, during, and after loss. We understand that these feelings can be confusing, uncomfortable, frightening, and overwhelming. This is a time for the utmost love, respect, and patience. We also recognize that grief can be a deepening, enriching, and empowering process in our lives.
